That’s exactly what nurse Lori Wood of Atlanta, GA. did for Jonathan, a homeless patient of hers in need of help. Jonathan needed a heart transplant, but but did not qualify for it because he had no one to care for him in recovery following the surgery. So, nurse Lori stepped in to adopt Jonathan and to care for him after the surgery, saving Jonathan’s life, and transforming both their hearts.
